William Anthony (Tony) Hayes

William Anthony (Tony) Hayes, 76, of Morristown, passed away Monday, August 28, 2023.

Tony was a proud Army Veteran and served during the Vietnam War, a member of the Hamblen County Car Club, and a long-time plant manager at Young’s Furniture Manufacturing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Pearl Hayes. 

He is survived by his wife of 54 years Kay Hayes; daughter, Traci (Jack) Lay; granddaughter, Mia Lay; brother, Mike (Vonda) Hayes; sister, Brenda Sullivan; brother-in-law’s, Barry and Jimmy Myers; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Thursday, August 31, 2023, from 5-7 p.m. in the East Chapel at Allen Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 7 p.m. with Reverends Dannie Bell and Ray Pratt officiating. Army Military funeral honors and interment will be held at 8:30 a.m. Friday, September 1, 2023, in East TN State VA Cemetery off John Sevier Highway in Knoxville, TN.
