William O'Keefe "Billy" Helms, Jr.

William O’Keefe Helms, Jr., born July 22, 1955, made his final transition to Glory Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at Life Care Nursing Home in Jefferson City following a long illness. Billy was preceded in death by his father, Rev. W.O. Helms; brother, Roy G. Helms; uncle, Dr. Crampton Helms, his grandparents, and many aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his wife Carol Helms; son, Andrew Helms; daughter, Virginia Helms; mother, Anne Helms Lorick; sister, Constance Helms Shepherd; and one grandson, Tristan Baker;  along with many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Bill was an accomplished musician, song writer, vocalist and guitarist.  He had a great love for the mountains, rivers and for fishing.  

The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 6:00 PM, Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at Trinity United Methodist Church.
