William Nolen Obituary

Nolen, William Kerry, age 66 of Morristown passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at home with his wife by his side.

Kerry was the only son of the late Bill and late Connie Nolen. He entered this world on April 9, 1958 in Kingsport, TN but grew up and called Morristown home. He was also preceded in death by grandparents, Fred and Martha Nolen and Kathryn Penland and brothers-in-law Charles “Pete” Johnson and Larry Bolling.

Kerry was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, having obtained the rank of Captain. His years of service included three years overseas in England. He was a 1981 graduate of UT Knoxville and a walking encyclopedia of everything related to UT sports.
As much as he loved UT sports, his greatest joy came from the family he gained in 2006 when he and Toni were married. Especially their precious grandsons, Ethan and Lochlan Johnson. He loved watching Ethan run track and cross country and Lochlan play soccer.

In addition to his wife Toni, Kerry is survived by their daughters Jennifer (Justin) Keaton-Marion of Knoxville and Emily (Gregory) McKamey of Russellville; precious grandsons, Ethan and Lochlan Johnson and newest grandchildren Aiden and Rylee McKamey; sister, Kathy Bolling; sister-in-law Shelby Loftin; nephews, Joshua (Mandy) and Caleb Bolling and Chris Loftin; niece, Melissa (Randall) Stooksbury; aunt,Penny Jones and several great and great-great nephews and nieces. Many cousins and dear friends Rex Russell and Brian Brundige.

Receiving of friends will be on Friday September 6 from 9-11 at Allen Funeral Home. Service at 11:00 with their pastor from First Christian Church, J R Hengehold. Burial with full military honors will follow at 2:00 PM in Johnson City at Mountain Home Military Cemetery.
